The version now appearing online is the correct one. For information, the following amendments have been made to the original published version. 1) Reference 35 has been updated  to 'Guy NC, Hopson M and Vandestichel R.   2014; 9: 78-82.'  2) On page 585, in the 'Litter box size' section, the minimum size dimensions have been updated to '34 × 15 inches (86 × 39 cm)' and the fourth sentence therefore amended to 'We recommend a rectangular litter box that is 1.5 times the length of the cat from nose to base of tail; in one study, adult cats preferred a box that was 34 × 15 inches (86 × 39 cm) over a smaller one.'.
