Effects of hyperuricemia on injured tendon healing: anstudy in a chicken model.

Abstract
It is unknown whether hyperuricemia is associated with tendon healing. An animal study showed that injured tendons in chickens with hyperuricemia had severe adhesions and decreased gliding excursions, however, the healing strength was not significantly different from that in normal chickens.
