Abstract
Teat dip manufacturing has evolved over time. Raw material pricing, trends, and new data influence the active ingredients used and the amounts of active ingredients used. Because of changing teat dip formulations, it is important for those involved in the decision-making process on a dairy to understand how/if a teat dip may have been tested for efficacy. Furthermore, the ability to test the level of active ingredient on a dairy farm is crucial in modern dairy farming.
