Rodents contribute to the life cycle of the protozoan parasiteas an intermediate host and key prey animal of cats, the definitive host. Overall, 10 of 296 (3.4%) rodent samples tested positive forDNA. Our results indicate that rodents present in food production and food storage facilities may carry.
