Examination of a veterinary practice for radiation hazards*

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe new ‘Code of Practice for the Protection of Persons exposed to Ionizing Radiations from Veterinary Uses’ recommends that a radiation survey of X‐ray installations be carried out. Such a survey, consisting of an examination of equipment, procedures and premises is described.Resumé. Le nouveau ‘Code de la Pratique de la Protection des personnes exposées aux radiations ionisantes appliquées à la Mécdecine Vétérinaire’ recommande la surveillance des installations génératrices des rayons X. On décrit les principes et les moyens à mettre en czuvre pour examiner de tels équipements.Zusammenfassung. Die neuen ‘Verhaltensrichtlinien zum Schutze von Personen, die ionisierender Bestrahlung für tierärztliche Zwecke ausgesetzt sind’ empfehlen, eine Strah‐lungsuntersuchung von Röntgeneinrichtungen durchzuführen. Eine solche Untersuchung, die Geräte, Verfahren und bauliche Verhältnisse umfasst, wird beschrieben.
