Abstract

ABSTRACTThe first aid and veterinary treatment of wild birds is outlined and attention is drawn to the legal and scientific justifications for such work.Particular emphasis is laid upon the careful examination of such cases and the importance, in subsequent treatment, of good management and nursing. Specific topics discussed include the care of young birds and the treatment of infectious and parasitic diseases, traumatic injuries, poisoning and oiling.
