Abstract
We report the first case of a lymphocele and bloodstream infection caused by S. coagulans post-surgery. Single nucleotide polymorphism-based analyses revealed closely related S. coagulans isolates from the patient and his dog. Using whole genome sequencing, we demonstrated that S. coagulans was transmitted from a dog.
