A 2-year-old tabby cat was found to have a lung parasite called Troglostrongylus brevior, which can cause bronchopneumonia (lung infection) in cats. This case is notable because it is the first reported instance of this parasite in domestic cats in Turkey. Unfortunately, the cat had to be euthanized, indicating that the infection was severe. Pet owners should be aware of respiratory issues in cats, as they can be caused by parasites as well as other factors.
