Abstract

The Panjiaba area, situated within the Longmenshan-Dabashan metallogenic belt in Shaanxi, Northwestern China, is a significant region for various deposit types due to its favorable metallogenic geological conditions and exploration potential. By analyzing 1:25,000 soil geochemical data from the Panjiaba area, anomalies were identified using the stratigraphic zoning anomaly lower limit contrast method. This method effectively mitigates stratigraphic background variations, minimizing the influence of stratigraphy on anomaly identification and providing valuable information for exploration activities. Subsequent anomaly validation and trenching efforts led to the discovery of two gold-bearing alteration zones and eight gold mineralization bodies in the area. The study underscores the efficacy of the stratigraphic zoning anomaly lower limit contrast method in regions with complex stratigraphy and suggests its broad applicability in similar geological settings.
