Plain-English summary

A 2-and-a-half-month-old female German Shepherd was brought to the vet because she had been leaking urine since birth. Tests revealed several urinary tract problems, including a missing left kidney, swelling in the right kidney, and issues with her bladder. Unfortunately, these abnormalities were confirmed after she passed away. This case highlights the importance of early detection of congenital urinary tract issues in puppies.
