Abstract

Mykola Yevtushevsky (20.01.1942–17.11.2017) was born in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine. He graduated from the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy in 1964. He worked in Kaniv Nature Reserve, Cherkasy Experimental Station of Game Animals, Kharkiv State Veterinary Academy, and in other institutions. Earned a degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences in 1989 and a degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in 2016. His main scientific interests were ecology, keeping and acclimatization of mammals. The successful acclimatization of the Sika deer in Cherkasy Oblast was conducted with his active participation. He authored over a hundred of scientific works.
