Abstract

Notification
A.H. Badrek-Al Amoudi, G.L. Greenslade, and A.R. Dixon, "How to Deal with Complications after Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy: Lessons Learnt from a Tertiary Referral Centre," Colorectal Disease 15, no. 6 (2013): 707-712, https://doi.org/10.1111/codi.12164. This notification is for the above article, published online on 5 February 2013 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and has been issued by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Steven Brown; The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland; and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. After the publication of an Expression of Concern for this article on March 19, 2025 (https://doi.org/10.1111/codi.70062), corresponding author Anthony Dixon was removed from the UK Medical Register on 6 August 2025 at the request of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS), as a result of the MPTS's investigation into allegations against Dr. Dixon. The notification has been agreed due to concerns raised regarding the legitimacy of the data reported and allegations of a lack of informed consent from patients who underwent the surgical procedure reported within. Therefore, the journal has decided to issue this notification to inform and alert the readers.
