Original publication title: PROSTATIC ABSCESS IN A GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG -A CASE REPORT

Species:
dog

Plain-English summary

A German Shepherd dog was diagnosed with a prostatic abscess, which is an infection that leads to a painful swelling in the prostate gland. The veterinarian used a physical exam, ultrasound, and blood tests to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment details weren't specified, but typically, prostatic abscesses may require antibiotics and possibly surgery to drain the abscess. It's important for pet owners to be aware of symptoms like difficulty urinating or straining, as these can indicate a serious issue.
