Abstract
ABSTRACT Clostridioides difficile colitis represents a significant healthcare burden. Recurrence rates can be high, ranging from 20% to 60%. Ultimately, an important aspect of management of recurrent C. difficile episodes is selecting appropriate treatment options and identifying potential risk factors. Within this case report, we describe a rare occurrence of transmission of C. difficile infection from an animal host to a human being.
