Abstract
Introduction: Renal cytology is an underused but valuable tool in the diagnosis of renal disease, particularly when combined with ultrasonography. Adequate samples that are clinically useful are obtainable in 73% of cases. Imaging potentially aids in the differentiation of neoplastic from non-neoplastic lesions.
