- dog
Plain-English summary
A 9-month-old beagle was found to have a spermatic granuloma, which is a lump in the epididymis (the tube that carries sperm) on the right side. The dog had a noticeable white nodule, and a closer examination showed it was filled with sperm and surrounded by various immune cells. This condition can occur due to inflammation or irritation in the area. Treatment options may include monitoring or surgical removal if necessary, but the specific outcome for this dog wasn't detailed.

Abstract
Pathological examination of a 9-month-old beagle dog revealed the epididymal spermatic granuloma. Grossly, a white nodule was observed in the cauda epididymis on the right side. Microscopically, there were numerous spermatozoa in the center of granuloma, surrounded by a wall of macrophages, fibroblasts, plasma cells, lymphocytes, neutrophils and giant cells. Furthermore, many macrophages containing IgG were observed in the center of granuloma.
