Abstract
Strong electronic metal-support interaction (EMSI) can tailor the electronic structure of electrocatalysts. Herein, Pt nanoparticles anchored on stainless mesh (SM) <i>via</i> EMSI engineering are reported, exhibiting excellent hydrogen production activity. Theoretical calculations demonstrate that the superior performance stems from the strong EMSI between Pt atoms and Fe atoms in SM.
