- Species:
- horse
Plain-English summary
This case involves a 7-year-old Standardbred mare that accidentally received a 20 mL injection of the Gudair vaccine into her muscle. This caused an inflammatory reaction, which means her body reacted strongly to the vaccine in that area. To treat this issue, veterinarians performed a significant surgical procedure to remove the affected tissue. The surgery was successful, resolving the mare's problem.
