Abstract
The(A) gene suspected to confer resistance to pleuromutilins inwas tested for functionality inAG100A andRN4220. Expression of the cloned(A) gene conferred decreased susceptibility to pleuromutilin (P) and streptogramin A (S) antibiotics inand had a minor effect inThe finding provides evidence of the direct association of(A) with the PSresistance phenotype.
