Abstract
Almost all chapters and articles discussing the cardiac clinical examination extol its many virtues in great detail. This may — to the seasoned reader of cardiac clinical literature — come across as a little trite. However, the more experienced a clinician becomes, arguably the greater the importance attributed to the clinical examination. This article will explore in detail the cardiac clinical examination with particular reference to the feline patient, and the many subtleties and nuances inherent in the clinical evaluation of this species.
