Abstract
Orbital fractures, commonly resulting from blunt trauma like accidents or assaults, comprise a significant proportion of facial fractures. Effective management involves a multidisciplinary approach and computed tomography imaging with 3D reconstruction. Surgical repair aims to restore orbital volume and correct visual deficits, with conflicting data to suggest optimal timing for intervention. Implant materials range from autologous grafts to alloplastic options like titanium mesh. Recent advancements include intraoperative navigation and patient-specific implants, improving precision and outcomes in complex orbital fracture repairs. A paucity of prospective studies limits our ability to establish uniform data-driven guidelines for the surgical management of orbital fractures.
