Plain-English summary

A 7-year-old female Welsh Corgi mix was brought to the emergency vet because she was vomiting, had diarrhea, wasn’t eating, and seemed very tired. She had been vomiting about 5 to 6 times a day for the past couple of days. The vet diagnosed her with uremic gastritis, which is inflammation of the stomach due to kidney issues, and found calcium oxalate crystals in her urine. Treatment involved managing her symptoms and addressing the underlying kidney problem, which helped her start to feel better.
