Original publication title: Ureteral obstruction secondary to disseminated penicilliosis in a German shepherd dog.
- Species:
- dog
Plain-English summary
A 2-year-old male German shepherd was brought in for weight loss and underwent an abdominal ultrasound. The vet found a mass in the right ureter, which was causing kidney swelling, along with unusual spots on the spleen and lymph nodes. Sadly, further examination after the dog passed away revealed that the cause was a fungal infection affecting the urinary tract. Unfortunately, the dog did not recover due to the severity of the condition.
