Original publication title: Urinary bladder herniation through inguinal ring in a female cat.

Species:
cat

Plain-English summary

A 7-month-old spayed female domestic shorthair cat was brought to the vet because she was lethargic and having trouble urinating, along with a noticeable lump in her right groin area. Imaging tests showed that her urinary bladder was partially pushed through the inguinal canal, which is an abnormal condition. The veterinarian performed surgery to fix the hernia and put the bladder back in place. After the procedure, her condition improved, and she was able to urinate normally again.
