Abstract
The use of a catheter and flutter valve to accomplish continuous thoracic drainage was evaluated in 12 dogs and 2 cats over a 2-year period. The system was found to be safe, reliable, and well tolerated. Compared with other drainage systems, this system requires less care from the veterinary staff.
