Abstract

Abstract
The optimal technique of ventral hernia repair is still debatable. While intraperitoneal onlay mesh repair is the most widely used method, extraperitoneal repair of ventral hernia is gaining popularity, mainly due to its proposed lesser pain and complication profile. This article describes one such method, ventral transabdominal preperitoneal plus repair and also discusses its benefits and post-operative outcomes.
