Original publication title: Wedge meatoplasty as a treatment for stricture of the urethral meatus in a cat.

Plain-English summary
A 3.5-year-old male neutered Siamese cat was brought in because he was having trouble urinating and was in pain. The vet discovered that a narrowing of the urethral opening was causing these issues. They performed a surgical procedure called wedge meatoplasty, which successfully relieved his pain and allowed him to urinate normally again. This treatment appears to be a new option for similar urinary problems in cats.

Abstract
A three-and-a-half-year-old male neutered Siamese cat presented with idiopathic feline lower urinary tract inflammation and dysuria, which appeared to be caused by stricture of the urethral meatus. Wedge meatoplasty was performed, which relieved the cat's dysuria and restored a normal urine stream. To my knowledge, this is the first report of meatoplasty as a treatment for stricture of the urethral meatus in a cat.
