Abstract

Expression of concern
A.H. Badrek-Amoudi, T. Roe, K. Mabey, H. Carter, A. Mills, and A.R. Dixon, "Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy in the Management of Solitary Rectal Ulcer Syndrome: A Cause for Optimism?," Colorectal Disease 15, no. 5 (2013): 575-581, https://doi.org/10.1111/codi.12077. This Expression of Concern is for the above article, published online on 29 October 2012 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and has been issued by agreement between the journal Editors-in-Chief, Sue Clark and Neil Smart; The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland; and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The Expression of Concern has been agreed due to concerns raised regarding the legitimacy of the data reported and allegations of a lack of informed consent from patients who underwent the surgical procedure reported within. The investigation into these concerns is ongoing. Therefore, the journal has decided to issue an Expression of Concern to inform and alert the readers.
