Abstract
ABSTRACT Cutaneous nodular amyloidosis is a rare disease in dogs and cats, defined by the accumulation of amyloid deposits in the dermis, which may be associated with extramedullary plasmacytoma. A male Labrador dog, eight years old, had a history of tumor growth in cushions of the right and left thoracic limbs (RTL and LTL, respectively) and right pelvic limb (RPL), had a clinically stable general condition, and it was referred for a surgical procedure. After surgery, the tissue fragments were fixed in 10% buffered formalin and sent for histopathological examination. Microscopically, showed the presence of cutaneous nodular amyloidosis in an LTL and cutaneous nodular amyloidosis associated with plasmacytoma in cushions of the RTL and RPL. Thus, this report is a case of multifocal cutaneous nodular amyloidosis associated or not with plasmacytoma in a Labrador dog’s cushions.
