Original publication title: Recurrent equine capillary haemangioma treated with adjunctive laser photocoagulation therapy: a case report.

Species:
horse

Plain-English summary

A 6-month-old thoroughbred filly had a recurring growth called a capillary hemangioma, which is a type of benign tumor, located at the edge of her left front leg. To treat this, veterinarians used a diode laser to remove the growth and also applied additional laser therapy to help prevent it from coming back. The treatment was successful, and the filly responded well to the procedures.

Abstract

The aim of the present work was to describe a case of recurrent capillary haemangioma at the coronary border of the left front limb in a 6-month-old thoroughbred filly successfully treated with diode laser ablation and adjunctive laser photocoagulation therapy.
