Abstract

Introduction: Hypercholesterolaemia and hypertriglyceridaemia are associated with markers of inflammation in pet rabbits. Independent of diet, hypercholesterolaemia, and hypertriglyceridaemia are strongly associated with severe infection or sepsis, renal failure and hepatopathy. The degree of elevation relates to the severity of the infection or systemic sepsis.
