Abstract
Introduction: The biological behaviour of mast cell tumours is difficult to predict; various parameters, including Ki-67 expression and the mitotic index (MI), are used to assist in predicting survival. High Ki-67 expression may not necessarily be an indicator of poor prognosis, while a high MI accurately predicts death.
